At Rinnovare, we have a distinct philosophy around Green building:

• It’s the right thing to do, so we will engage in many green practices within our standard product offering;
• Green needs to be simple and affordable. If you want to install solar panels and geo thermal heating and cooling, we will gladly help. However, we believe green can be embedded into everyday building without a significant premium – recycling construction materials, using compact fluorescent light bulbs, insuring the space we are transforming in utilized efficiently and effectively;
• “Green washing” is prevalent. Everybody says they are green. How do you know? Rinnovare is a pilot participant in the MN Greenstar project, the 1st certification program in MN specific to MN remodeling projects. By following a detailed set of criteria and documenting with 3rd party verifications, our projects can be “certified green”. We are in the process of completing one of the 1st tier 4 (adding square footage to the house footprint) certifiable green remodels in the state.
